PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.
Superintendent’s Office,
Auckland, 6th February, 1875.
IN compliance with a request made to me by His Worship the Mayor of Auckland, on behalf of a Public Meeting of the Citizens thereof, held at the Mechanics’ Institute, on the 4th instant, I hereby invite the Inhabitants to observe the Afternoon of TUESDAY Next, the 9th instant, as a Holiday, in order that suitable preparation may be made for the Reception of the Colonial Rifle Representatives, who are expected to arrive from the Thames at Six o’clock p.m. on that day.
The Provincial Government Offices will be closed from Two o’clock, p.m., on Tuesday.
