PROCLAMATION.

By His Honour Sir George Grey, Knight Commander of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.

UNDER and in pursuance of the powers in me vested by an Act of the Local Legislature of the Province of Auckland, intituled, “An Act to Abate the Nuisance caused by Dogs,” (Session I, No. 4, 1854), I do hereby proclaim and declare that from and after the publication hereof the said Act shall come into operation within the Districts of

KARIOI,

and

WHAINGAROA,

as constituted under “The Highways Act, 1874.”

Given under my hand and the Public Seal of the Province of Auckland, this fourteenth day of June, 1875.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

By His Honour Sir George Grey, Knight Commander of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.

UNDER and in pursuance of the powers in me vested by the seventh section of “The Highways Act, 1874,” I do hereby notify that, from and after the date hereof, all that portion of the Province of Auckland hereunder described shall be a District under the said Act, and that such District shall be known by the name of

THE MARAETAI HIGHWAY DISTRICT.

Bounded on the north by the Hauraki Gulf; on the east by the Wairoa River to the south-western boundary of lot 58 of the Parish of Wairoa; on the south by the south-western boundary of allotment 58 aforesaid, the southern boundary of a Native Reserve, the eastern and southern boundaries of lot 46 of the parish of Maraetai and the southern boundary of lot 34 of the said parish to Waikopo Creek; and on the west by Waikopo Creek aforesaid and the Maungamaungaroa to the Hauraki Gulf aforesaid.

Given under my hand at Auckland, this 14th day of June, One thousand eight hundred and seventy five.

UNDER and in pursuance of the powers in me vested by the seventh section of “The Highways Act, 1874,” I do hereby alter and amend the boundaries of the WHAKAPAKU Highway District as hereunder set forth.

Given under my hand at Auckland this 14th day of June, 1875.
