I HEREBY notify that the Run described below has been claimed by Messrs. J. & W. Busby :-

Situation—Keri Keri, Bay of Islands.

Boundaries—Towards the North by the Keri Keri River; towards the East by lands granted to Messrs. Kingston & Irving; towards the South by lands granted to James Busby; and towards the West by Native Lands—excepting lands within the aforesaid boundaries that are held under Crown Grant.

KARAKA HIGHWAY DISTRICT.

MR. THOMAS BIRD, of Auckland, is appointed Collector of Rates for the Karaka Highway District.

WANGAREI HIGHWAY DISTRICT.

AT a meeting of the Wangarei Highway Board, held on the 18th day of February, 1874, it appearing that the period of forty clear days has elapsed since the specifications, maps, plans, and sections of the proposed road from Wangarei to Maungataripari, passing through a part of Carruth’s grant, were deposited at Mr. Wood’s store, and since notice thereof was published in the Provincial Government Gazette, and that all objections have been duly heard, and it appearing expedient to the said Board to proceed with the making of the said road—

It was ordered that the said road be made in accordance with the said specifications, maps, plans, and sections, and it is further ordered that a copy of this Order, together with true copies of the said specifications, maps, plans, and sections so deposited as aforesaid, together with the objections made, be transmitted to His Honor the Superintendent, the said Order being first published in the Provincial Government Gazette, and in the Daily Southern Cross, pursuant to the thirty-third section of “The Highway Boards Empowering Act, 1871.”
