PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

HEREBY notify that the several Chairmen of the after-named District Boards, under "The Highways Act, 1871," have reported in writing to the Superintendent the names of the under-mentioned persons duly appointed Members of those Boards respectively, to supply vacancies:—
Kauaeranga — James Kilgour, to be Member,
vice W. S. McCormick, resigned.
Parawai — James McRoberts, to be Member,
vice J. J. Holland, resigned.
Howick Township — John Finlay, to be Member,
vice James Webber, resigned.

as Collector under the Dog Nuisance Act for that District.

Delegation under Public Health Act to Superintendent of Auckland.
JAMES FERGUSSON, Governor.
WHEREAS by "The Public Health Act, 1872," it is, among other things, enacted that the Governor may from time to time, as he thinks fit, order that all or any of the powers, functions, duties, authorities, or acts vested in, conferred on, or authorized or required to be performed, exercised, performed, or done by the Superintendent of such Province with the advice of the Executive Council of such Province (if any), as in the said Act mentioned; subject, however, to any limitations or restrictions as he may think fit:
Now, therefore, His Excellency Sir James Fergusson, Baronet, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority enabling him under the hereinbefore in part recited Act, doth hereby order that all the powers, functions, duties, authorities, or acts vested in, conferred on, or authorized or required to be done by him as such Governor as aforesaid, within the Province of Auckland, under the fifty-third and seventy-seventh sections of the said Act, shall be exercised, performed or done by
JOHN WILLIAMSON, Esq.,
the Superintendent of the said Province, as and in manner by the said Act required: Provided that this order shall only remain in force so long as the said John Williamson shall be and remain such Superintendent as aforesaid, or until other provision in that behalf shall be made by the Governor under the powers aforesaid.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Sir James Fergusson, Baronet, a Member of Her Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued at Invercargill, this twenty-second day of January, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy-four.

PROCLAMATION.
By the AUCKLAND HARBOUR BOARD for the Port of Auckland.
IN pursuance of the powers and authority vested in the Auckland Harbour Board, the limits and boundaries of the undermentioned Wharf, for the purposes of "The Marine Act, 1867," are hereby defined, that is to say,
FREEMAN’S BAY WHARF,
bounded on the West, North-West, and North-East, by the waters of Auckland Harbour, and by land between high and low water mark; on the East and South-East by that portion of Custom House Street West, situate between Drake Street and Hardinge Street; and on the South, by that portion of Drake Street, situate between Custom House Street West and the Western boundary of the Wharf.
Given at Auckland, under the Common Seal of the Auckland Harbour Board, the seventh day of February, One thousand eight hundred and seventy-four.
