NOTICE OF TIMES AND PLACES FOR INVESTIGATING CLAIMS.

NOTICE is hereby given, that the claims, on behalf of themselves and others, of the several persons whose names are mentioned in the first column of the Schedule hereunder written, to the several blocks of land, of which the names and localities are mentioned in the second column, the boundaries of which are published in the Schedule hereunder, will be investigated at Mangonui on the 23rd of February next, and following days.

SCHEDULE.

Name of Claimant. Name and Locality of Block. Boundaries. Place where Plan will be deposited for public inspection.
Haimona, Hupata, Hohepa Poutama, Marara Timoti, Tamati, Hemi, Taitimu, and Hakaraia, Te Mokaikai, near Parenrenga, Bounded on the north by the sea and the Muriwhenuatika block; on the east by lines from the Muriwhenuatika block to the Parengarenga harbour; on the south by the Parengarenga harbour and rivers; on the west by the Muriwhenua block, surveyed by Mr. Duffus. Office of the Resident Magistrate, Mangonui.
Pumipi, Te Hosanga, near Whangaroa, Bounded on the west and south by the Whangaroa harbour; on the east by Mr. Haye’s land, by native land, and by the Pato creek.
Wiremu Tana Papahia, and Te Ororua Kahoe, Merita, near Mangonui, Commences at Wairaharao, at the peg of the Parakerake block then goes on to the beach, turns there and goes towards the south-east to Te Arai, and on to Merita, then goes along the beach to Pihakao, then turns towards the south and goes to Whangatupere, and on to the peg of the Kauhoehoe block, then goes along on the boundary of Te Parori, turns here towards the west and goes on the boundary of Whatuwhiwhi, and thence to Wairaharao.
Wiremu Tana Papahia, Wiremu Kingi, Kingi Wiremu Wharewhare, Te Teira, and others, Karikari, near Mangonui, Commences at the peg of the Parakerake block at Wairaharao, and goes on towards the east to the beach, then turns towards the north-west to Te Whakapoaka, thence to Karikari, turns then towards the west and goes on to the peg of Te Ti, then turns and goes along on the boundary of Te Ti, until it reaches the peg of the Wairaharao block.
Wiremu Tana Papahia, Kingi Wiremu Wharewhare, Taipari Wharewhare and others, Rangiawhia, near Mangonui, Commences at the peg of the Whatuwhiwhi block, and goes on towards the east along the beach to Rangiawhia, thence to Te Huinga, and on to the peg of Kauhoehoe, then along on the boundary of Te Parori until it strikes the boundary of Merita, then turns and goes on to the boundary of the Whatuwhiwhi block.

The maps of such of these lands as have been surveyed can be seen at the Office of the Resident Magistrate, Mangonui.
