THE names of the undermentioned persons appointed Collectors of Rates for the Highway Districts set opposite their respective names have been reported to this office:—

ARAI R. Cartwright, jun., of Auckland; and W. B. Farrand, of Te Arai.

ALBERTLAND NORTH.—Samuel Wells, of Auckland, and W. B. Farrand, of Te Arai.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Office of the Board of Education,
Auckland, 23rd January, 1874.

IN Accordance with the 14th Section of “The Education Act, 1872,” it is hereby notified that the Boundaries of the Panmure and Otahuhu Districts, as described in Gazette No. 6, of the 8th of February, 1873, have been amended by the Board of Education as follows:—

The Otahuhu Educational District.

Amended Boundaries.

Commencing at Ann’s Bridge on the Great South Road, then by a line running in an Easterly direction from Ann’s Bridge to the Tamaki River, thence by said River to a point where the Tamaki River aforesaid is crossed by a bridge called and known as Buckland’s Bridge on the road which forms the dividing boundary of the Fairburn property, thence Norl.-Westerly by said road to its junction with the Mangere Road aforesaid to the Northern boundary of Mr. Lynch’s farm, thence by said Northern boundary and by the same produced in a straight line to the waters of the Manukau Harbour, thence by Manukau Harbour aforesaid to Ann’s Bridge, the place of commencement.


The Panmure Educational District.

Amended Boundaries.

Commencing at the North-Eastern angle of the Remuera Highway District, and following the Eastern boundary of said district to the Great South Road at the Harp of Erin, thence by the Great South Road from place last named to Ann’s Bridge, thence by a line running in an Easterly direction from Ann’s Bridge to the Tamaki River, thence by the Tamaki River and Pakuranga Creek to the road which forms the Eastern boundary of Allotment No. 30 of the Parish of Pakuranga, thence by said road to the road at the North-Eastern angle of Allotment No. 28 of said Parish of Pakuranga, thence Westerly and North-Westerly by said road to the nearest point of the Tamaki River, thence by said Tamaki River by the Waitemata Harbour and Urake Creek to the North-Eastern angle of the Remuera Highway District, the place of commencement.
