THE following Act, passed by the Provincial Council, and assented to by the Superintendent of Auckland on behalf of the Governor, intituled
"The Public Buildings Act, 1874,"
having been laid before the Governor, His Excellency has not been advised to exercise his power of disallowance in respect of the same.

REGULATION No. 19.
REGULATION of the Council of the City of Auckland, made under special order of the said Council, dated the second day of October, 1874, confirmed the second day of November, 1874, and sealed with the Common Seal of the Council of the said city the third day of November, 1874:—
In pursuance of section one, of subdivision one, of part five of the thirteenth Schedule of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1867, the Council of the City of Auckland make the following Regulation, that is to say—
From and after the date of this Regulation coming into operation, it shall be lawful to erect, alter, add to, or renew the external walls of any building within the limits of the several parts of the City of Auckland (specified in the Schedule hereunto annexed,) with iron or wood, subject to the requirements contained in section forty-one of the Regulations for Buildings, made by the City Council on the 13th November, 1871, and subject to the approval by the said Council of the plans and specifications submitted for their inspection.
SCHEDULE REFERRED TO.
All that portion of the City of Auckland situate and lying between, and being bounded by, the lines following, namely, commencing at the seaward termination of Hobson-street, thence south along Hobson-street to Cook-street, along Cook-street to its junction with Albert-street, thence along Albert-street to Victoria-street, thence west along Victoria-street to Chapel-street, thence north along Chapel-street to high water mark, and thence along high water mark to the point of commencement at Hobson-street, maintaining the lines in the middle of the various streets. Also, all that portion of the City of Auckland situated and lying between, and being bounded by, the lines following, namely, commencing at the junction of Symonds street and Wakefield-street, thence north along Symonds-street to Wellesley-street, thence along Wellesley-street to Rutland-street, thence along Rutland-street to Wakefield-street, and thence along Wakefield-street to the point of commencement, maintaining the lines in the middle of the various streets.
Also, all that portion of the City of Auckland situate and lying between, and being bounded by, the lines following, namely, commencing at the abutment of Eden-street upon Mechanics’ Bay at high water mark, thence south along Eden-street to Waterloo Quadrant, thence along Waterloo Quadrant to Princes-street, thence north along Princes-street to Customhouse-street, thence along Customhouse-street to Jermyn-street, thence along the western side of Allotment 20, Section 8, of the said City to high water mark, and thence along high water mark to the point of commencement at Eden-street, maintaining the lines in the middle of the various streets from high water mark to high water mark.
