I hereby notify that in pursuance of the authority vested in the Superintendent by “The Provincial Government Act” (Session I., No. 7), I have this day appointed
George Maurice O’Rorke, Esq., M.P.C.,
to be a Member of the Provincial Executive Council for this Province.

It is hereby notified that a Writ, issued on the 6th ultimo, for the Election of a Member of the Provincial Council for the Electoral District of Eden, has been returned to this Office, with a Certificate endorsed thereon by the Returning Officer to the effect that

of Mount St. John, freeholder, has been duly elected.

has been this day elected a Commissioner under “The Public Buildings Act, 1874,” in the place and stead of P. A. Philips, Esq., M.P.C., resigned.

Under and in pursuance of the powers in me vested by the seventh section of “The Highways Act, 1874,” I do hereby alter and amend the boundaries of the Remuera Highway District, as hereunder set forth.
Given under my hand at Auckland, this 7th day of November, 1874.

THE REMUERA HIGHWAY DISTRICT.
Amended Highway District.
This District shall comprise all those lands bounded towards the north by high water mark of the sea from the seaward termination of the western boundary of allotment No. 40A of the parish of Waitemata to the Slaughterhouse creek, thence by the middle of said creek to the north side of the Grammar School road, thence by the north side of said road from the creek aforesaid to the east side of the Epsom road, on the west by the east side of Epsom road aforesaid, to the north-western angle of allotment No. 21 of section No. 4 of the suburbs of Auckland thence by the north-eastern boundary of said allotment No. 21 to the Slaughterhouse creek aforesaid, thence by the said creek to the southern bound...
