In exercise and pursuance of the power and authority

conferred upon me by the said Act, do hereby pro-
claim and declare that, for the purposes of the said Act, there shall be within the said Province of Auck-
land a division or district which shall embrace the
whole of the Province of Auckland, exclusive of the
district known as "The Hauraki Weights and Mea-
sures District," proclaimed on the sixteenth day of
March, one thousand eight hundred and seventy,
and published in Gazette number fourteen of the
seventeenth of March, one thousand eight hundred
and seventy, and that the several districts heretofore
proclaimed and known as the Auckland, Otahuhu,
Waikato, and Raglan Districts, respectively, shall
cease to be districts under the said Act: Provided
that nothing herein contained shall affect the district
proclaimed on the sixteenth day of March, one thou-
sand eight hundred and seventy, and known as the
Hauraki District, which said last-mentioned district
shall be and remain a district under the said Act.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the
Right Honourable Sir James Fergusson,
Baronet, a Member of Her Majesty’s
Most Honourable Privy Council, Governor
and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her
Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its
Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the
same; and issued under the Seal of the
said Colony, at Wellington, this twenty-
second day of June, in the year of our
Lord one thousand eight hundred and
seventy-four.

Schedule to the said Act, are hereby adopted in and
for the said Borough.

Between HORATIO NELSON WARNER, Official
Agent, Plaintiff, and WILLIAM MORTIMER
BAINES, Defendant.

WHEREAS, by virtue of a Writ of Fieri Facias issued in this action, and to me
directed, ordering me that of the real and personal
property of the above-named William Mortimer
Baines I should cause to be made the sum of
Forty-eight Pounds Nine Shillings and Two-
pence, together with interest on the said sum, at
the rate of Eight Pounds per centum per annum,
from the 23rd day of May, 1874, together with £1
13s. 4d. for the said Writ, besides Sheriff’s poundage,
Officers’ fees, &c.: Now I do hereby give notice that
I shall cause to be sold by public auction, by Richard
Arthur, at his Auction Mart, Queen-street, Auck-
land, on the 3rd day of September, 1874, at the hour
of 12 o’clock noon, unless the said debt of £48 9s.
2d. and interest be sooner paid, together with the
said sum of £1 13s. 4d. for the said Writ, besides
Sheriff’s poundage, Officers’ fees, &c.: All the Estate,
Right, Title, and Interest of the said William Morti-
mer Baines, of, in, and to all that allotment or
parcel of land, in the Province of Auckland, in the
Colony of New Zealand, containing by admeasure-
ment five acres, more or less, situate in the Parish
of Waitemata, in the County of Eden, and being
part of allotment No. 41, of Section 6, Suburbs of
Auckland; bounded on the North by a line 385 links,
on the East by other part of the said allotment No.
41, 1812 links, on the South by allotment No. 45,
140 links, 100 links, and 144 links, and on the West
by part of lot No. 40, 1675 links.

And I further give notice that the Estate and In-
terest of the said William Mortimer Baines, consists
of his fee simple estate in the said land, and that the
same has been taken by me, in execution at the suit
of the said Horatio Nelson Warner, the execution
creditor.

THE following Act, passed by the Provincial
Council, and reserved by the Superintendent of
Auckland, for the signification of the Governor’s
pleasure thereon, intituled

"The Cooiahau Milldam Goit Act, 1874,"

Having been laid before the Governor, His Excel-
lency has been pleased to assent to the same.

BYE-LAW of the Council of the Borough of
Thames, made in accordance with "The Munici-
pal Corporations Act, 1867."

In pursuance of the powers vested in them under
"The Municipal Corporations Act, 1867," the Coun-
cil of the Borough of Thames ordains as follows, that
is to say, part I., part V., part VI., sub-divisions 1
and 2 of part VII., part VIII., part IX., sub-divisions
