| Quinsy | — | 4 | 4 | 4 | — | — | The admissions into the Provincial Hospital for 1873 nearly correspond in number with those of the preceding year, and amount to 510 (males, 431, and females, 79). Of the total treated (578,) each has been in hospital 43 days on an average. 58 persons (males, 54, females, 4) have died in the year, affording the lowest percentage we have had for some years, viz., 10 per cent. Of the total number of deaths the Zymotic class has supplied 8; Constitutional, 12; Local, 30; Developmental, 1, and Violent, 7. Of individual fatal cases, Heart disease and Pulmonary Phthisis have furnished the greatest number. |

The public have evinced their usual interest in the Hospital by frequent visitation, and contributions of books, newspapers, old linen, &c. |
