powering Act, 1871," requires that a notice of forty clear days shall be given of such work being about to be undertaken, this is to notify to all and sundry, the owners, or reputed owners, lessees, or reputed lessees, or occupiers of any portion of the said lots through which the said roadway is to be taken, that a specification and plan of such roadway, together with the names of those likely to be affected by the undertaking have been deposited, and will be open for the inspection of all persons interested in the said work, on and after Tuesday, 7th October, 1873, at the residence of the Chairman of the "Waipu North Highway District," and it is hereby further notified that all persons who may have any objections to make against the said line of road as proposed, must set forth the same in writing addressed to the Chairman of the said Board, within forty (40) clear days from the 17th day of October, 1873.

NOTICE is hereby given that Mr. WILLIAM THOMPSON, of Stokes’ Point, has been appointed the Collector of Highway Rates for the current year and that the place appointed by the Board for the payment of the same is at his residence Stokes’ Point.

BYE-LAWS, ORDERS AND REGULATIONS FOR THE MANAGEMENT, PRESERVATION, AND DISPOSITION OF THE RESERVES SUBJECT TO THE CONTROL OF THE AUCKLAND IMPROVEMENT COMMISSIONERS.
IT shall not be lawful to do or assist in doing in or upon any of the lands under the jurisdiction of the Auckland Improvement Commissioners, any of the things next hereunder mentioned, without the consent in writing of the Auckland Improvement Commissioners previously obtained through their Secretary or duly appointed Officer and at such time and place, times and places, as shall be set forth in such consent :-—
Convene, or assist at, or attend any public meeting.
Convene, or assist at, or attend any athletic games, sports, entertainments, parades, concerts, or other amusements or affairs which shall cause the assemblage of many people.
Play at cricket, football or hockey.
Raise, or cut, or destroy the sod.
Light a fire not within a house.
Discharge, or cause to be discharged, any cannon, gun, or firearm.
Drive, or conduct, or take any cart or waggon.
Drive, or conduct, or take any private carriage or vehicle otherwise than on the gravelled roads.
Obstruct any road with any carriage, or vehicle.
Ride, or conduct, or take any horse elsewhere than on the gravelled roads.
Drive, or conduct, or take, any cow, sheep, goat, or pig,
Destroy or injure any plant or shrub.
Take away, or remove, anything subject to the control or management of the Commissioners.
Obstruct, or interfere with any of the Commissioners’ workmen.
Destroy, injure, or deface this advertisement.

N.B. The penalty for infringing any of these Bye-laws is five pounds (£5) recoverable in a summary way.
