In pursuance of Section 8 of "The Public Health Act, 1872," I hereby appoint the first meeting of the Central Board of Health for the Province of Auckland under the said Act to take place at the Superintendent’s Office, Auckland, on Monday, the 3rd February, proximo, at Twelve o’clock, noon.
Given under my hand and the Public Seal of the Province, at Auckland, this twenty-eighth day of January, One thousand eight hundred and seventy-three.

REGULATION (No. 10).
REGULATION FOR CARRIAGES.
REGULATION of the Council of the City of Auckland made under special order of the said Council dated the 16th day of December 1872 confirmed the 20th day of January 1873 and sealed with the Common Seal of the Council of the said City the 20th day of January 1873.
In pursuance of the Municipal Corporations Act 1867 Schedule 13 Part X Subdivision 1 Section 48 the Council of the City of Auckland make the following Regulation that is to say:

Every Hackney Carriage or City Stage Carriage shall be allowed to carry one passenger for every eighteen inches in width of seating room provided such seating room to be computed exclusively of the Driver’s seat. Provided that no child under five years of age shall be counted as a passenger unless there shall be more than one such child in which case two children shall be considered as one passenger and so on in respect of every two such children.

No number other than the number of the License and the number of Passengers allowed to be carried shall be painted on or affixed to any city stage carriage or hackney carriage plying for hire within the prescribed space for the City of Auckland.
BY-LAW (No. 12).
BY-LAW of the Council of the City of Auckland made under Special Order of the said Council dated the sixteenth day of December 1872 confirmed the twentieth day of January 1873 and Sealed with the Common Seal of the Council of the said City the twentieth day of January 1873.
In pursuance of Section 156 of Part 13 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1867, the Council of the City of Auckland ordain as follows that is to say:
The By-law passed by the Council and intituled "A By-law to pave Queen-street within certain limits" shall extend and apply to the footpaths in all public streets within the limits of the City of Auckland.
