NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of the seventh section of “The Highways Act, 1871, Amendment Act, 1871,” the Deputy Superintendent has appointed
William Innes Taylor,
to be an Auditor for the Mount Wellington Highway District, in the place of Every Maclean, resigned.

HEREBY notify that the respective Chairmen of the after-named District Boards, under “The Highways Act, 1871,” have reported in writing to the Superintendent the names of the undermentioned persons elected as Members of the said District Boards respectively, for the ensuing Highway year; namely:—

NOTICE is hereby given, in accordance with the provisions of “The Highways Act, 1871,” that a certified copy of the Assessment List for the
Wairoa
Highway District has been forwarded to this Office.

BY-LAW (No. 14).
BY-LAW to restrain any person from riding or driving round an angle or corner of any street at other than a walking pace.
By-law of the Council of the City of Auckland made under special order of the said Council, dated the second day of June, 1873, confirmed and sealed with the Common Seal of the said Council the thirtieth day of June, 1873.
In pursuance of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1867,” Part 13, Section 188, the Council of the City of Auckland ordain as follows: that is to say—
Any person who shall drive any vehicle or ride any horse at other than a walking pace round an angle or corner of any street in the City of Auckland shall for every such offence forfeit and pay upon conviction a penalty not exceeding Five Pounds.
Passed by the said Council this thirtieth day of June, Anno Domini One thousand eight hundred and seventy-three.

REGULATION (No. 15).
REGULATION of the Council of the City of Auckland made under the Special Order of the said Council, dated the second day of June, 1873, confirmed and sealed with the Common Seal of the said Council the thirtieth day of June, 1873.
In pursuance of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1867,” Schedule 13, Part 1, Subdivision 1, the Council of the City of Auckland make the following Regulation, that is to say—
On Public Footways in the City of Auckland of Nine Feet and upwards in width, no cellar door opening or grating shall exceed eighteen inches in breadth, and on Public Footways less than nine feet in width, no cellar door opening or grating shall exceed Twelve inches in breadth.
Passed by the said Council this thirtieth day of June Anno Domini One thousand eight hundred and seventy-three.
