FARES:

  1. From wharves on the South Shore of Auckland Harbour to vessels lying in the stream at the usual anchorage, Single fare to or from, One Shilling. Two or more passengers each way, each Sixpence.

  2. From wharves on the South Shore of Auckland Harbour to vessels lying off Freeman’s Bay or Mechanic’s Bay, Single fare to or from, One Shilling and Sixpence. Two or more passengers each way, each Ninepence.

  3. From wharves on the South Shore of Auckland Harbour to Stoke’s Point Wharf or Flagstaff Wharf, Single fare to or from, Four Shillings. Two or more passengers each way, each Two Shillings.

  4. All other distances as per agreement, not exceeding Single fares, One Shilling and Sixpence per mile. Two or more passengers, each Ninepence per mile.

  5. The rates of hire to be charged for one man and oat per hour shall not exceed Two Shillings per hour. For two men and boat per hour shall not exceed Three Shillings per hour.

  6. Boats plying between the wharves on the South Shore of Auckland Harbour and Shipping in the stream at the usual anchorage may be detained Fifteen minutes, free of charge: at all other places they may be detained Thirty minutes, free of charge: but if boats are detained longer than the times above noted, the proportionate rates of per hour may be charged.

  7. Between sunset and sunrise double fares may be charged.

  8. When the red ball is hoisted on the Queen Street Wharf by order of the Harbour Master, one-half extra fares may be charged.

RUATANGATA DISTRICT BOARD.

NOTICE.

WHEREAS it is deemed expedient for the purposes of public accommodation that a permanent roadway should be made across lots forty-four, sixty-six, and sixty-seven, (44, 66, 67,) in the Ruatangata Block, and whereas Part VII of the “Highway Boards Empowering Act, 1871,” requires that a notice of forty clear days shall be given of such work being about to be undertaken; this is to notify to all and sundry, the owners, reputed owners, lessees, or reputed lessees, and occupiers, of the said lots through which the said roadway is proposed to be taken, that a Specification and Plan of such roadway, together with the names of those likely to be effected by the undertaking, have been deposited; and will be open for the inspection of all persons interested, on and after Friday, 20th June, 1873, at the house of Mr. William Lilley, Ruatangata, and it is hereby further notified that all persons who may have any objections to make against the said line of road as proposed must set forth the same in writing, addressed to the Chairman of the said Board, within forty (40) clear days from the 30th day of June, instant.
