HAURAKI GOLD MINING DISTRICT.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Superintendent’s Office,
Auckland, 17th May, 1873.

IT is hereby notified that re-entry has been made by the Lessor upon the ground demised by the Leases hereunder named, and the Lessees’ estate therein respectively determined, and that the land therein mentioned will be open for occupation under sections 53, 54, and 55 of “The Gold Mining Districts Act, 1871.”

THAMES.

Thomas Macfarlane and others, 15 years’ lease of 2 acres 1 rood and 7 perches, known as the “Conqueror” ground; situated on the “Lucky Hit” Creek, Karaka, and bounded Southerly by the “Sir Walter Scott” lease, and on all other sides by supposed unoccupied ground; lease dated 26th May, 1870.

The Claremont Gold Mining Company Registered, 15 years’ lease of 5 acres and 25 perches, situated on the Karaka Creek, and bounded Westerly by the late “Red Jacket” license, and on all other sides by supposed unoccupied ground; lease dated 6th December, 1871.

HEREBY notify that the several Chairmen of the after-named District Boards, under “The Highways Act, 1871,” have reported in writing to the Superintendent the names of the under-mentioned persons appointed Members of those Boards respectively, to supply vacancies:—

Paerata — Charles Seymour Robinson, vice Alexander Macdonald, resigned.

Grafton Road — Andrew Bell, vice John Hay, resigned.

WAIPU HIGHWAY BOARD.

NOTICE.

WHEREAS it is deemed expedient for the purpose of public accommodation that a permanent roadway should be made across lots forty-four, sixty-six, and sixty-seven, (44, 66, 67,) in the Ruatangata Block, and whereas Part VII of the “Highway Boards Empowering Act, 1871,” requires that a notice of forty clear days shall be given of such work being about to be undertaken, this is to notify to all and sundry, the owners, reputed owners, lessees, or reputed lessees, and occupiers, of the said lots through which the said roadway is proposed to be taken, that a Specification and Plan of such roadway, together with the names of those likely to be affected by the undertaking, have been deposited, and will be open for the inspection of all persons interested, on and after Monday, the 19th day of May instant, at the residence of the Chairman of the “Waipu Highway Board,” and it is hereby further notified that all persons who may have any objections to make against the said line of road as proposed must set forth the same in writing, addressed to the Chairman of the said Board, within forty (40) clear days from the 19th day of May instant.

RUATANGATA DISTRICT BOARD.

NOTICE.

NORTHERN DISTRICT.

Between Rapana Maunganoa, Plaintiff; and Robert Graham, Defendant.

WHEREAS, by virtue of a Writ of Fieri Facias issued in this action, and directed to me, ordering me that of the real and personal property of the above-named Rapana Maunganoa I should cause to be made the sum of Thirty Pounds One Shilling and Sixpence, together with interest on the said sum at the rate of Eight Pounds per centum per annum from the 1st day of February, 1873, together with £2 12s 6d for the said Writ, besides Sheriff’s poundage, Officers fees, &c.: Now I do hereby give notice that I shall cause to be sold by Public Auction, by Leonard Auckland, at his Auction Mart, Queen Street, Auckland, on the 22nd day of May, 1873, at the hour of 12 o’clock noon, unless the said debt of £31 6s 6d and interest be sooner paid, together with the said sum of £2 12s 6d besides Sheriff’s poundage, Officers fees, &c.: All the Estate, Right, Title, and Interest of the said Rapana Maunganoa, of, in, and to all that parcel of land in the Province of
