PROCLAMATION.

By Thomas Bannatyne Gillies, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.

By virtue of the powers to me delegated by the Governor in Council, under his hand and the Public Seal of the Colony, under “The Auckland Waste Lands Act, 1867,” I do hereby temporarily reserve for Educational purposes, until the next Session of the Auckland Provincial Council, portion for mining purposes, or for machine sites, or all that piece or parcel of land containing one acre for business, or for residence, all that portion of land three roods and twenty four perches, and being situate within the boundaries of the Hauraki Goldfield Allotment No. 19 of section No. 6 of the suburbs of Mining District under the said Act, which is particularly described in the Schedule hereunder. Provided always that the above exemption should not extend to any portion of the said land now lawfully occupied for mining purposes.

Given under my hand and seal at Auckland, within the said Province, this nineteenth day of April, One thousand eight hundred and seventy-three.

By virtue of the powers and authority vested in the Superintendent under the 11th section of “The Auckland Waste Lands Act, 1867,” I do hereby exempt from occupation for mining purposes, or for machine sites, or for that piece or parcel of land containing one acre for business, or for residence, all that portion of land three roods and twenty four perches, and being situate within the boundaries of the Hauraki Goldfield Allotment No. 19 of section No. 6 of the suburbs of Auckland Mining District under the said Act, which is partially described in the said Schedule hereto, and bounded towards the North by allotment No. 17 of said section 1,000 links, toward the East by a road 190 links, towards the South by a road 1,000 links, and towards the North-West by a road 190 links.

Given under my hand and the Public Seal of the said Province, this tenth day of April, One thousand eight hundred and seventy-three.

SCHEDULE.

By Thomas Bannatyne Gillies, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.

Under and in pursuance of the powers vested in the Superintendent by “The Auckland Waste Lands Act, 1867,” I hereby notify for public information, that all those pieces or parcels of land enumerated in the Schedule hereunder will be:

All that piece of land situated within the watershed of the Waterfall Creek, Tararu Block, bounded on all sides by unoccupied ground and by straight lines bearing Northerly 50° distance 303 links, Easterly 174° 30' distance 300 links, Southerly 230° distance 303 links, Westerly 354° distance 300 links, containing 3 roods.
