PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Superintendent’s Office,
Auckland, 9th January, 1872.

IN pursuance of the 20th Section of "The Auckland Waste Lands Act, 1870," it is hereby notified for general information that application has been made to me by

MR. JOSEPH CLARK,

for permission to erect a Flax Mill, and construct a Dam for the same on Sutton’s Creek, situated on the Waiau, together with the necessary water-right.

NOTICE.

Native Lands Court,
Auckland, March 2nd, 1872.

WHEREAS by an order in Council made on the 16th day of August, 1871, it was ordered by His Excellency the Governor in Council, under "The Native Lands Act, 1865," and "The Native Lands Act, 1867," and "The Native Lands Act, 1870," that the claim of Ruka Taurua and others to a piece of land called Tuoro, being an island situate in the Waikato River, heard and determined by the Native Lands Court of New Zealand on the 14th day of April, 1871, at Hamilton, in the District of Waikato, should be reheard before one Judge of the said Court and one Assessor thereof; and that such rehearing shall take place before the 30th day of June next.

Now, therefore, notice is hereby given that a sitting of the Native Lands Court will be held at Mercer, Waikato, on the 18th day of April, 1872, for the rehearing of the above mentioned claim.

Na, he panuitanga tenei kia mohiotia ai, ka noho te Kooti Whakawa Whenua Maori ki Te Paina, Waikato, a te 18 o nga ra o Aperira, 1872, ki te whakawhakia hou i tenei pihi whenua.
