VICTORIA, by the grace of God, of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, Queen, Defender of the Faith.
To Samuel Cochrane, late of the City of Auckland, in the Province of Auckland, New Zealand, Auctioneer, but now of parts beyond seas; Thomas Duder, Signalman, and Alexander Alison, Senior, Settler, both of the North Shore, near the City of Auckland, aforesaid, Edwin Hesketh and John Richmond, of the City of Auckland, aforesaid, Solicitors, and Henry Colin Balneavis, Sheriff of the District of Auckland,
GREETING:
WHEREAS an action is now pending in our Supreme Court of New Zealand, Northern District, Province of Auckland, between John Benjamin Russell, of Auckland, in the Province of Auckland, and Colony of New Zealand, Solicitor, Plaintiff, and George Beddoes, late of the North Shore, near Auckland, aforesaid, Ship Builder, Defendant, and in order that the plaintiff may proceed in the said action, we command you that you do retain and keep all and singular lands and other hereditaments, ships, moneys, and chattels, bills, bonds, and other property of whatsoever nature in your custody or under your control at the time of the service of this writ belonging to the above-named defendant, or to in which such defendant shall at that time be legally or equitably entitled, or otherwise beneficially interested, and whether solely or jointly, or with any other person or persons, and all debts of every kind then due by you to such defendant, although the same or any part thereof may be payable only at a future day.
Witness: His Honor Sir George Alfred Arney, Knight, Chief Justice of our said Supreme Court of New Zealand, at Auckland, this twelfth day of December, 1872.
This writ was sued out by Albert Devore, of Shortland-street, Auckland, Solicitor for the said plaintiff.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Crown Grants to the undermentioned persons for the undermentioned blocks of land in the Province of Auckland have been forwarded by the Secretary for Crown Lands to the District Land Registrar here for delivery to the Grantees.
