IT is hereby notified that a Writ issued on the 24th ultimo, for the election of a Member of the Provincial Council for the Electoral District of Franklin, has been returned to this Office with a certificate endorsed thereon by the Returning Officer to the effect that
WILLIAM THOMAS BASSETT,
of Hill Farm, Papatoitoi, Freeholder, has been duly elected.

to be an Auditor for the Opotiki Highway District, in the place and stead of Mr. Loftus Richards, resigned.
