PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Superintendent’s Office,
Auckland, 17th October, 1872.

IT is hereby notified that a Writ issued on the 19th ultimo, for the election of a Member of the Provincial Council for the Electoral District of the Thames, has been returned to this Office with a certificate endorsed thereon by the Returning Officer to the effect that

William Turnbull Swan,
of Shortland, Leaseholder, has been duly elected.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Superintendent’s Office,
Auckland, 15th October, 1872.

IT is hereby notified that Tenders in writing will be received at this Office until twelve o’clock noon, on Thursday, the 21st day of November proximo, for the Lease of the School Reserves specified in the Schedule hereunder. Tenders to be made separately for the Lease of each Lot for the several terms of Seven, Fourteen, or Twenty-one Years, commencing from 1st January, 1873.

NOTICE.

Superintendent’s Office,
Auckland, 18th October, 1872.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is intended to apply to the Provincial Council of the Province of Auckland, at its next Session, for leave to bring in a Bill under “The Provincial Compulsory Lands Taking Act, 1866,” to provide for the opening of a Public Road, one hundred links wide, in, through and over those pieces or parcels of land, the property of John Stokes, of Mount Eden, farmer, being allotments Nos. 11 and 57 of section No. 6 of the Suburbs of Auckland.

Copies of the said proposed Bill will be deposited in this Office on or before Monday, the 21st day of October, 1872. A plan of the land, with a book of reference thereto, and copy of the Provincial Government Gazette, may be now inspected in this Office.

IN pursuance of the fifth section of “The Highways Act, 1871,” I do hereby bring the said Act into operation within the Mongonui Township Highway District, and I do hereby appoint the First Meeting of Ratepayers to take place at the Mongonui Hotel, Mongonui.
