PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Superintendent’s Office,
Auckland, 30th August, 1872.

IT is hereby notified that Tenders in writing will be received at this Office until twelve o’clock noon, on Saturday, the 28th day of September proximo, for a Lease for a term of Five Years of the Common School Reserve, specified in the Schedule hereunder.

Lot 74, section 16, suburbs of Auckland, Remuera, containing 5 acres and 11 perches (more or less), adjoining the residence of Mr. Henry Ellis.

I HEREBY notify that in pursuance of the seventh section of “The Highways Act, 1871,” I have appointed Mr. John Maxwell, to be an Auditor for the Tauranga North Town-ship Highway District, in the place and stead of Mr. A. W. Burrows, resigned.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

By Joseph May, Esquire, Deputy-Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.

UNDER and in pursuance of the powers vested in the Superintendent by the fourth section of “The Highways Act, 1871,” I do hereby alter and amend the several boundaries of the Tararu, Waiotahi and Kauaeranga Highway District as hereunder set forth.

Given under my hand, at Auckland, this thirty-first day of August, One thousand eight hundred and seventy-two.

The Tararu Highway District.

Amended Boundaries.

Commencing on the eastern coast of the Frith of the Thames at a point fifty chains or thereabouts north of the mouth of the Tararu Creek, thence by a line bearing 90° or due east to a point on Tararu Creek five chains or thereabouts north of the mouth of Fiery Creek, thence by the northern watershed of Fiery Creek and Tinker’s Gully to the Look-out Rock, thence by the dividing range between Karaka Block and Tararu Block to the head of the Opitomoko Creek to the Frith of the Thames aforesaid and by high water mark of the sea thence to the point of commencement.

The Waiotahi Highway District.

Amended Boundaries.

Bounded towards the north-west by the Opitomoko stream and the south-eastern boundary of the Tararu Block, from high water mark of the sea to Shortland ridge; towards the east by Shortland range aforesaid for a distance of about twenty-six chains to the boundary at the Karaka stream; towards the south-east by that boundary and by the Karaka stream aforesaid following its present course to the sea; and towards the south-west by high water mark of the sea to the Opitomoko Creek first mentioned the place of commencement.

The Kauaeranga Highway District.

Amended Boundaries.

Bounded towards the north-west by the present course of the Karaka Creek, from the Hauraki Gulf to the north-eastern boundary of Shortland Township Reserve; towards the north-east by the north-eastern boundary of Shortland Township Reserve aforesaid, from the Karaka Creek to the Hape stream; towards the south-east by the Hape stream aforesaid to its confluence with the Kauaeranga river; towards the south by the Kauaeranga river aforesaid to the Hauraki Gulf; and towards the south-west by the Hauraki Gulf aforesaid to the mouth of the Karaka Creek, the place of commencement.

I HEREBY notify that the several Chairmen of the aforenamed District Boards, under “The Highways Act, 1871,” have reported in writing to the Superintendent the names of the under-mentioned persons duly appointed Members of those Boards respectively to supply vacancies —

Whangaparaoa.— T. Lloyd, vice C. N. Marshall, resigned.

Pukeatua.— C. Y. Kretschmar, vice David Davies, resigned.
