In pursuance of the 20th Section of “The Auckland Waste Lands Act, 1870,” it is hereby notified for general information that application has been made to me by Mr. Joseph Clark, for permission to erect a Flax Mill, and construct a Dam for the same on Sutton’s Creek, situated on the Waiau, together with the necessary water-right.

THE undersigned, James Caddy Davies, hereby make application to register “The Hope of Coromandel Gold Mining Company, Registered,” under the provisions of “The Mining Companies’ Limited Liability Act 1866,” and the “Mining Companies’ Limited Liability Act Amendment Acts, 1869 and 1870,” and I do solemnly and sincerely declare that the following statement is, to the best of my belief and knowledge, true in every particular, viz:—

The name and style of the Company is The Hope of Coromandel Gold Mining Company, Registered.

The place of operations is at Driving Creek, Coromandel Goldfields, in the Province of Auckland, in the Colony of New Zealand.

The nominal capital of the Company is Ten thousand pounds in Ten thousand shares of One pound each.

The amount already paid up in cash is Nil, and in partly paid up shares Five thousand pounds.

The name of the Manager is James Caddy Davies.

The Office of the Company is at Insurance Buildings, Auckland.
