PROCLAMATION.

By JOSEPH MAY, Esquire, Deputy-Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.

UNDER and in pursuance of the powers vested in the Superintendent by an Act of the Local Legislature of the Province of Auckland, intituled "An Act to Abate the Nuisance caused by Dogs," (Session 1, No. 4, 1854), I do hereby proclaim and declare that, from and after the publication hereof, the said Act shall come into operation within the District of

PAPATOITOI,

as constituted under "The Highways Act 1871."

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

I DO hereby notify that the MOUNT EDEN District Board has, with my approval, appointed

MR. WILLIAM WOOLLEY

to be the Keeper of the Public Pound at MOUNT EDEN, in the room of Mr. Thomas Mitchell.

And I do hereby further notify that the fees and charges set forth in the Schedule annexed to the notification published in the Provincial Government Gazette, No. 20, dated 29th May, 1872, pages 160 and 161, may be taken and charged by the said Keeper.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

IN pursuance of the fifth section of "The Highways Act, 1871," I do hereby bring the said Act into operation within the

MAUKU HIGHWAY DISTRICT,

and I do hereby appoint the First Meeting of Ratepayers to take place at the Volunteer Hall, Patumahoe, on Monday, the 5th day of August proximo, at twelve o’clock noon, and Major D. H. Lusk J.P., to be Chairman of such Meeting.
