NOTICE is hereby given, in accordance with the provisions of “The Highways Act, 1871,” that a certified copy of the Assessment List for the Opotiki Highway District has been forwarded to this Office.

BY-LAW (No. 8).
A BY-LAW TO REPAIR PAVEMENTS.
BY-LAW of the Council of the City of Auckland, made under Special Order of the said Council, dated the 19th day of February, 1872, confirmed the 18th day of March, 1872, and sealed with the Common Seal of the Council of the said City the 20th day of March, 1872.
In pursuance of section 186 Municipal Corporations Act, 1867, the Council of the City of Auckland ordain as follows, that is to say:—
Every owner or occupier of any building, in front of which there is or shall be any pavement, shall maintain and keep the same in good repair, and it shall be lawful for the Council to give notice to any such owner or occupier to repair such pavement when and as the same may require; and every owner or occupier who shall neglect or refuse within seven days after the service of such notice to effect such repair, shall forfeit a sum not exceeding forty shillings for every day during which he shall fail to effect the same, and the Council may if they shall see fit make such repair and recover the expense of so doing from such owner or occupier before any Justice.
Passed by the said Council this eighteenth day of March, Anno Domini one thousand eight hundred and seventy-two.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
NOTICE is hereby given that the partnership heretofore existing between Edward Perkins and John Griffiths as Licensed Victuallers, under the name or style of Edward Perkins, is dissolved from this date.

I, THE undersigned, DAVID BROWN WALLACE, hereby make application to Register “The Scotty’s Hill Gold Mining Company, REGISTERED,” under the provisions of “The Mining Companies’ Limited Liability Act, 1865,” and “The Mining Companies’ Limited Liability Act Amendment Acts, 1869 and 1870,” and I do solemnly and sincerely declare that the following statement is, to the best of my belief and knowledge, true in every particular, viz:—
- The name and style of the Company is The Scotty’s Hill Gold Mining Company, Registered.
- The place of operations is at Coromandel, Thames Goldfields, in the Province of Auckland, in the Colony of New Zealand.
- The nominal capital of the Company is Six thousand pounds, in Six thousand shares of One pound each.
- The amount already paid-up in cash is Nil, and allotted to shareholders in partly paid-up shares, Three thousand pounds.
- The name of the Manager is David Brown Wallace.
- The Office of the Company is at 42, Queen street, Auckland.
- The names and several residences of the shareholders, and the number of shares held by each at this date, are as follows, namely:—
