may be taken and charged by the said Keeper.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

By Thomas Bannatyne Gillies, Esquire,
Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.

UNDER and in pursuance of the powers in me
vested by the fourth Section of "The High-
ways Act, 1871," I do hereby alter and amend the
several boundaries of the Tauraroa and Waikiekie
Highway Districts as hereunder set forth.

Given under my hand at Auckland this sixth
day of January, One thousand eight hundred and seventy-two.

The Tauraroa Highway District.

Amended Boundaries.

Bounded towards the north-west by a right line
from the Wairoa River at its confluence with the
Okaha stream to the westernmost angle of the Maun-
gakaramea Block; towards the north-east by the
south-western boundary of the Maungakaramea Block
aforesaid from its westernmost angle to the Tauraroa
River; towards the south-east by Tauraroa River
aforesaid in a westerly direction to its confluence
with the Manganui River and by the Manganui
River to the eastern boundary of the Waikahikatea
Highway District; towards the south-west by the
eastern boundary of the Waikahikatea Highway
District aforesaid from the Manganui River to the
Wairoa River aforenamed; and towards the west by
the Wairoa River aforesaid to its confluence with the
Okaha stream first mentioned the place of com-
mencement.


The Waikiekie Highway District.

Amended Boundaries.

Bounded towards the north-west by the Tauraroa
River from its confluence with the Manganui River
to the south-western boundary of the Ruarangi Block
towards the north-east by part of the south-
western boundary of the Ruarangi Block afore-
said from the Tauraroa River before-mentioned
to the north-western boundary of the Mareretu
Block; towards the south-east by the north-
western boundary of the Mareretu Highway
District from the south-western boundary of the
Ruarangi Block aforesaid to the Manganui River; and
towards the south and west by the Manganui River
to its confluence with the Tauraroa River first-men-
tioned the place of commencement.


PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

HEREBY notify that the several Chairmen of
the afternamed District Boards under "The High-
ways Act, 1871," have reported in writing to
the Superintendent the names of the undermentioned
persons duly appointed Members of those Boards to
supply vacancies:—

Paparata—Gervase Tibbitts, vice James Troun-
son, resigned.

Karangahape—Joseph Warren, vice John
Webley, resigned.
