I, THE undersigned WILLIAM SURFLEN, hereby make application to register "The Fern Root Gold Mining Company, Registered," under the provisions of "The Mining Companies' Limited Liability Act, 1865," and "The Mining Companies' Limited Liability Act Amendment Acts, 1869 and 1870," and I do solemnly and sincerely declare that the following statement is, to the best of my belief and knowledge, true in every particular, namely—

  1. The name and style of the Company is The Fern Root Gold Mining Company, Registered.
  2. The place of operations is at the Tokatea Range, Coromandel Goldfield, in the Province of Auckland, in the Colony of New Zealand.
  3. The nominal capital of the Company is Nine thousand pounds, in Six thousand shares of One pound ten shillings each.
  4. The amount already paid up in cash is Nil, and the amount in partly paid up shares is Six thousand pounds.
  5. The name of the Manager is WILLIAM SURFLEN.
  6. The office of the Company is at Lower Township, Coromandel.
  7. The names and several residences of the shareholders, and the number of shares held by each at this date, are as follows, namely:
