BYE-LAW.

BYE-LAW of the Council of the Borough of Auckland made in accordance with The Municipal Corporation Act, 1867.

In pursuance of the power vested in them under The Municipal Corporations Act, 1867, the Council of The Borough of Auckland, ordains as follows, that is to say:—

I.—Part i., part v., part vi., subdivisions 1 and 2 of part vii, part viii, part ix, subdivisions 1, 2, 4, and 5 of part x. and part xi. of the 13th Schedule to the said Act, are hereby adopted in and for the said Borough.

II.—The following Bye-laws heretofore existing are repealed from and after the fifth day of October, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-one, that is to say,—The rules made by The City Board of Commissioners pursuant to The Auckland Municipal Police Act, 1866, dated the twenty-third day of April, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-six.

Passed by the said Council, this third day of July, in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-one.

THE undersigned THOMAS HORSBRUGH, hereby make application to Register “THE ITALIAN GOLD MINING COMPANY, REGISTERED,” under the provisions of the “Mining Companies’ Limited Liability Act, 1865,” and the “Mining Companies’ Limited Liability Act Amendment Acts 1869 and 1870,” and I do solemnly and sincerely declare that the following statement is, to the best of my belief and knowledge, true in every particular, namely—

  1. The name and style of the Company is “The Italian Gold Mining Company Registered.”

  2. The place of operations is at the Karaka Block at the Thames Goldfield, in the Province of Auckland, in the Colony of New Zealand.

  3. The nominal capital of the Company is Twenty seven thousand pounds, in Nine thousand shares of three pounds each.

  4. The amount paid up in cash is Nil, and Twenty-two thousand five hundred pounds in partly paid-up shares, being the estimated value of the mine.

  5. The name of the Manager is THOMAS HORSBRUGH.

  6. The office of the Company is at Owen-street, Grahamstown.

  7. The names and several residences of the shareholders, and the number of shares held by each at this date, are as follows, namely:—
