applied for by G. R. Alexander; 15 years’
lease of 16 acres, Quartz Reef, bounded on the
North by the “Star of the South” and “Whau,”
on the West by “Dixon’s No. 1” and “Sons of
Freedom,” on the South by “Flying Cloud,”
and on the East by “Goldfinch.” Karaka Block ;
partly held under Miners’ Rights and unoccu-
pied ground ; application received in Warden’s
Office, Grahamstown, at 3.15 p.m., 31st May,
1871, R.B. 898.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

IN pursuance of the 29th Section of “The Goldfields
Act, 1866,” and of the Regulations made under
that Act for the granting of Leases for Gold Mining
purposes, it is hereby notified that it is intended to
grant Leases for Gold Mining purposes to the Appli-
cants specified in the Schedule hereunder, unless valid
objections can be shown against granting such Leases.

Copies of the Applications made, and Plans annexed,
may be seen at the Warden’s Office, Grahamstown.

SCHEDULE.

PETER TIERNEY, on behalf of the Harbour View
Gold Mining Company ; 15 years’ lease of 10
acres, more or less, quartz mining land on
Tokatea Range, bounded on the North by
“Mystery,” on the East by “Bay View,” and
other sides by unoccupied ground ; partly held
under Miners’ Rights ; application received in
Warden’s Office, Coromandel, at 12.5 p.m., 27th
May, 1871.

THE Tokatea No. 2 Gold Mining Company, Registered ;
applied for by C. W. Hall ; 21 years’
lease of 16 acres, situated on the Tokatea Range,
adjoining “Royal Oak” Claim and “Tokatea”
Company’s Lease ; claim not held under Miners’
Rights ; application received in Warden’s Office,
Coromandel, at 10 a.m., on the 25th May, 1871.

FREDERICK WOOLAMS, HENRY THODE, and GEORGE STEVENS ;
applied for by F. Woollams ; 15
years’ lease of 12 acres of quartz mining land on
the Tokatea Range, bounded on the North-east
by the “Tokatea” Company’s Lease, the “Royal
Oak,” “Glow-worm,” and “Bank of New
Zealand” Claims, on other sides by unoccupied
ground ; claim not held under Miners’ Rights ;
application received in Warden’s Office, Coro-
mandel, at 12 noon on the 25th May, 1871.

WILLIAM CRUSH DALDY, WILLIAM AITKEN, CHARLES RING, and others, applied for by W. Horne ;
15 years’ lease of 16 acres of unoccupied ground
and abandoned claims “Golden Ring,” “Golden
City,” “Ivanhoe,” or late “Prince of the
Ranges,” “Old Kentucky,” or late “New
Kentucky,” “Erin’s Hope,” and “Star of Erin”
Claims ; claim not held under Miners’ Rights ;
special easement required ; the right to dis-
charge mullock and debris on the adjoining
ground ; application received in Warden’s Office,
Coromandel, at 12.25 p.m. on the 2nd June, 1871.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Superintendent’s Office,
Auckland, 7th June, 1871.

TENDERS will be received at this Office until
Noon of Wednesday, the 21st instant, for the
undermentioned Supplies for the Provincial Govern-
ment, during the period of six months, commencing
on the 1st July proximo.

Printed Forms of Tender and copies of the condi-
tions and specifications of the several Contracts can
be obtained at this Office.

application to Register the “CRYSTAL PALACE GOLD MINING COMPANY, REGISTERED,” under the pro-
visions of the “Mining Companies’ Limited Liability
Act, 1865,” and “The Mining Companies’ Limited
Liability Amendment Act, 1869,” and I do
solemnly and sincerely declare that the following
statement is, to the best of my belief and knowledge,
true in every particular, namely—

  1. That the name and style of the Company is
    the Crystal Palace Gold Mining Company Registered.
  2. The place of operations is at the Te Papa
    Gully, Hape Creek, at the Thames Goldfield, in the
