AUCKLAND PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT GAZETTE.
I hereby certify that I have examined the accounts of the Provincial Treasurer of the Province of Auckland for the quarter ended 31st March, 1871, and have compared them with the vouchers, and find the computations correct; that the Revenues and Receipts brought on charge and required by law to be paid into the Provincial Account "were so paid"; that all issues of public moneys have been made on Warrants of the Superintendent duly certified by me; that all moneys issued in payment of services rendered were legally available according to the terms of the Provincial Audit Act, 1866; that the expenditure shown in the said accounts has been properly classified, and that no part thereof has been expended without authority of law.

THE undersigned, FRANK WOODWARD, hereby make application to Register the "PHOENIX GOLD MINING COMPANY, REGISTERED," under the provisions of the "Mining Companies’ Limited Liability Act, 1865," and the "Mining Companies Limited Liability Amendment Acts, 1869 and 1870," and I do solemnly and sincerely declare that the following statement is, to the best of my belief and knowledge, true in every particular, namely—
- The name and style of the Company is the Phoenix Gold Mining Company Registered.
- The place of operations is at the Waiotahi Creek, at the Thames Gold Field, in the Province of Auckland, in the Colony of New Zealand.
- The nominal capital of the Company is One thousand eight hundred pounds, in One thousand two hundred shares of thirty shillings each.
- The amount paid up in cash is nil, and in partly paid up shares is One thousand two hundred pounds, being the estimated value of the mine.
- The name of the Manager is FRANK WOODWARD.
- The office of the Company is in Brown street, Grahamstown.
- The names and several residences of the shareholders, and the number of shares held by each at this date, are as follows, namely:

BRYCE BAIN, hereby make application to Register "THE MESSENGER’S GOLD MINING COMPANY REGISTERED," under the provisions of the "Mining Companies Limited Liability Act, 1865," and I do solemnly and sincerely declare that the following statement is, to the best of my belief and knowledge, true in every particular, namely—
- That the name and style of the Company is, Messenger’s Gold Mining Company, Registered.
- The place of operations is at the Moanataiari Creek, at the Thames Goldfield, in the Province of Auckland, in the Colony of New Zealand.
- The nominal capital of the Company is Three thousand pounds, in Three thousand shares of One pound each.
- The amount already paid up in cash is nil, One thousand five hundred pounds being the estimated value of mine and plant.
- The name of the Manager is A. BRYCE BAIN.
- The office of the Company is at Grahamstown.
- The names and several residences of the shareholders, and the number of shares held by each at this date, are as follows, namely:
