HAURAKI GOLDFIELD.
PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.
Superintendent’s Office,
Auckland, 3rd April, 1871.
IT is hereby notified to the Applicants that Leases have been refused in the Schedule hereunder, and that the land therein mentioned, in so far as not otherwise legally occupied, is now open for occupation.
Plans may be seen at the Engineer’s Office, Grahamstown.

SCHEDULE.
Alfred F. Watkins: 15 years’ lease of 16 acres, Tararu; bounded on the North by the South end of the ground known as the “Nightingale” Claim, and on all other sides by unoccupied ground; application dated 11th February, 1871. (R.B. 822).
Thomas Hawthorn: 15 years’ lease of 16 acres quartz reef, Tararu; bounded on the South by the “Scandinavian” Claim, and on all other sides by unoccupied ground; known as the “Hawthorn” Claim; application dated 18th February, 1871. (R.B. 823).
IT is hereby notified that, in the granting of Mining Leases, re-entry has been made by the Lessor upon the ground demised by the Lease hereunder described, and the Lessee’s estate therein determined, and that the land therein mentioned is now open for occupation.
