THE undersigned, NATHANIEL WILLIAM MASSEY, hereby make application to register "THE BERKELEY CASTLE GOLD MINING COMPANY (Registered)," under the provisions "The Mining Companies’ Limited Liability Act, 1865," and "Amendment Act, 1869," and I do solemnly and sincerely declare that the following statement is, to the best of my belief and knowledge, true in every particular, namely :-

  1. The name and style of the Company is "The Berkeley Castle Gold Mining Company."

  2. The place of operations is at the Moanataiari Creek, at the Thames Gold Field, in the Province of Auckland, in the Colony of New Zealand.

  3. The nominal capital of the Company is Thirty four thousand Pounds in Seventeen thousand shares of Two Pounds each.

  4. The amount already paid-up is Twenty nine thousand Seven hundred pounds represented by the estimated value of the Company’s mine.

  5. The name of the Manager is Nathaniel William Massey.

  6. The Office of the Company is at Brown street, Grahamstown.

  7. The names and several residences of the shareholders, and the number of shares held by each at this date, are as follow, namely :-

NOTICE.

NOTICE is hereby given that a certain Deed, bearing date the twelfth day of January, 1870, made between one John Michael French, of the City of Auckland, Province of Auckland, and Colony of New Zealand, Grocer, of the first part, George Turrell, Stannus Jones, and George William Binney, all of the City of Auckland, aforesaid, Merchants, of the second part, and the several Creditors of the said John Michael French of the third part, whereby the said John Michael French conveyed and assigned to the said George Turrell, Stannus Jones, and George William Binney, the whole of his real and personal estate for the equal benefit of his Creditors, has been this day filed in the Supreme Court of New Zealand at Auckland.

Dated this eighteenth day of January, 1870.
