CHARLES FREDERICK LETHBRIDGE, Esq.,
Surgeon,

to be a Vaccination Officer for the District of Franklin, in the place of Seth Sam, Esq., resigned; to attend at Shortland, and at such other places within the said District as may be deemed expedient, for the purpose of performing Vaccination, from time to time, as required.

HAURAKI GOLDFIELD.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Superintendent’s Office,
Auckland, 23rd November, 1870.

IN pursuance of the 29th section of “The Gold Fields Act, 1866,” and of the Regulations made under that Act for the granting of Leases for Gold Mining purposes, it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant Leases for Gold Mining purposes to the Applicants specified in the Schedule hereunder, unless valid objections can be shown against granting such Leases.

Copies of the Applications made, and Plans annexed, may be seen at the Warden’s Office, Grahamstown.

EDWARD NORRIS; 16 years’ lease of 16 acres; being new ground situate on Tararu Creek, joining the “Vulcan” Lease on the South; Tararu block, known as the “Lowland Lass” Claim; not held under Miners’ Rights; application received in Warden’s Office, Grahamstown, at 12.10 p.m., 18th November, 1870, No. 801.

The Moanataiari Gold Mining Company, Registered; applied for by C. J. Stone; 15 years’ lease of about 4 acres, quartz reef; bounded on the North-west by the “Castle and Galatea” Lease; on the South by “Crown” Claim; on the East by “Thrieve Castle;” and on the North by “Newmarket,” Karaka block; known as the “Coronet,” “Sarrawack,” and “Auckland Mint,” abandoned Claims; application received in Warden’s Office, Grahamstown, at 10.15 a.m., 19th November, No. 802.
