IT is hereby notified that the several applications for Mining Leases, set forth in the Schedule hereunder, have been withdrawn, and the land therein mentioned, in so far as not occupied under miners’ rights, is now open for competition.

SCHEDULE.
FREDERICK COCK and JOHN OSBORNE, 15 years’ lease of 15 acres; bounded on the North, East, and South by unoccupied land, on the West by land applied for by Mr. Gemmell; situate on the Hape Creek, Queen’s County; application notified in Gazette No. 55, dated 20th August, 1869, page 749; withdrawn 1st December, 1869.
R. C. JORDAN, 15 years’ lease of 3 acres; adjoining the Lady Bird, Little Nell, and Hand of Friendship claims; known as the Eureka claim, Tararu; application notified in Gazette No. 73, dated 29th September, 1869, page 1227; withdrawn 9th December, 1869.
A. McKENZIE, for the City of Glasgow Company, Tararu, 14 years’ lease of 4 acres; next the Tarbert Castle, Tararu Creek; application notified in Gazette No. 48, dated 28th July, 1869, page 635; withdrawn 7th December, 1869.
W. J. COONE and W. H. SMITH, 15 years’ lease of about 15 acres, comprised within a line drawn about 200 yards in a N.W. course from the N.E. corner of the Clydesdale lease, thence about 200 yards in an E. course, thence about 400 yards in a S.E. course, thence to the Clydesdale’s lease boundary in a S.W. course; situate in the Whakatoke Block; application notified in Gazette No. 72, dated 28th September, 1869, page 1220; withdrawn December 22nd, 1869.
H. P. STARK, 15 years’ lease of 15 acres; adjoining the Happy New Year, Golden Point, and unoccupied land, situate on the Hape Creek; application notified in Gazette No. 55, dated 20th August, 1869, page 753; withdrawn 21st December, 1869.
ROBERT REID, for Peter Landy, 15 years’ lease of 14 acres; bounded on the North by the King of the Forest, on the East by St. Andrews, on the South by the Golconda and on the West by the N.N.E. Gold Mining Company; situate on Nolan’s Spur, Waio-tahi; known as the Queen of the Forest claim; application notified in Gazette No. 75, dated 4th October, 1869, page 1270; withdrawn 13th December, 1869.
GEORGE S. HILLARD, 15 years’ lease of 2 acres; situate at the head of Tinker’s gully, Tararu, known as the Razorback claim; application notified in Gazette No. 59, dated 30th August, 1869, page 879; withdrawn 29th October, 1869.
H. SARGANT, 15 years’ lease of 16 acres; bounded towards the north by a line running from a peg near Mr. Baillie’s house to the back
