PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.
Superintendent’s Office,
Auckland, 1st October, 1870.
In pursuance of the 29th section of the "Gold Fields Act, 1866," and of the Regulations made under that Act for the granting of Leases for Gold Mining purposes, it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant a Lease for Gold Mining purposes to the Applicant specified in the Schedule hereunder, unless valid objections can be shown against granting such Lease.
Copy of Application made, and Plan annexed, may be seen at the Warden’s Office, Grahamstown.

SCHEDULE.
W. C. Hill, for the Pukehauau Gold Mining Company, Registered; 15 years’ lease of 10 acres more or less, Karaka Block; bounded by "Berkley Castle," "Southern Cross," "Herald," "Clarkson’s Royal," "Annabella and Welcome," and "Middle Star Extended" leased grounds; application received in Warden’s Office, Grahamstown, at 10.20 a.m., 29th September, 1870, No. 794.
PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

It is hereby notified that a Writ issued by me on the 30th May last, for the election of a Member of the Auckland Provincial Council for the Electoral District of Coromandel, has been returned to this Office, with a certificate endorsed thereon to the effect that Jerome Cadman, Esq., of Coromandel, Leaseholder, has been duly elected.

It is hereby notified that a Writ, issued by the Deputy-Superintendent, on the 22nd August last, for the election of a Member of the Auckland Provincial Council for the Electoral District of Thames, has been returned to this Office, with a certificate endorsed thereon to the effect that Charles Featherstone Mitchel, Esq., of Tararu, Holder of Miner’s Right, has been duly elected.
