HAURAKI GOLD FIELD.
PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.
IN pursuance of the 29th section of the "The Gold Fields Act, 1866," and of the Regulations made under that Act for the granting of Leases for Gold Mining purposes, it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant Leases for Gold Mining purposes to the Applicants specified in the Schedule hereunder, unless valid objections can be shown against granting such Leases.
Copies of the Applications made, and Plans annexed, may be seen at the Warden's Office, Grahamstown.

SCHEDULE.
CHARLES TOTHILL for the Long Drive Gold Mining Company, Registered; 15 years’ lease of 2 acres, 2 roods, and 19 perches; bounded by the "Kurunui," "Shotover," "Junction," "Poverty and Charleston," and "Fourth of July" Claims, Karaka Block; known as the "Long Drive" Claim; held under Miners’ Rights. Application received in Warden’s Office, Grahamstown, at 2.15 p.m., 23rd August, 1870, No. 785.
CHARLES TOTHILL, for the All Nations Gold Mining Company, Registered; 15 years’ lease of 2 acres and 29 perches; bounded by "Oddfellows," "Junction," "Inverness," "Pride," and "Moanataiari" Claims, Kuranui Hill, Karaka Block; held under Miners’ Rights; application received in Warden’s Office, Grahamstown, at 1.30 p.m., 25th August, 1870, No. 786.
PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.
IT is hereby notified that Leases have been refused to the Applicants named in the Schedule hereunder, and that the land therein mentioned, in so far as not occupied under Miners’ Rights, is now open for occupation.
Plans may be seen at the Engineer’s Office, Grahamstown.

GEORGE WILLIAM JONES for the Shooting Star Gold Mining Company, Registered; 15 years’ lease of 3½ acres more or less; situate on the Moanataiari Creek, including the "Shooting Star" and the "Hand in Hand" Companies’ ground; bounded by the "Providence," "North Star," "Middle Star," "General Grant," Pokohinau," and "United Service" Gold Mining Companies’ ground, Karaka Block; Application notified in Gazette No 24, dated 18th May, 1870, page 189.
W. ROWE, for the Sea Lion Gold Mining Company, Registered; 15 years’ lease of about 3 acres; adjoining "Imperial Crown," "Fourth of July" and "Wakatip" Claims, Kuranui, Karaka Block; known as the "Sea Lion" Claim; application notified in Gazette No. 33, dated 30th June, 1870, page 273.
PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.
IT is hereby notified that the several Applications for Mining Leases set forth in the Schedule hereunder have been withdrawn, and that the land therein mentioned, in so far as not occupied under Miners’ Rights, is now open for occupation.
