HAURAKI GOLD FIELD.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

IN pursuance of the 29th Section of "The Gold Fields Act, 1866," and of the Regulations made under that Act for the granting of Leases for Gold Mining purposes, it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant a Lease for Gold Mining purposes to the Applicants specified in the Schedule hereunder, unless valid objections can be shown against granting such Lease.

Copy of the Application made, and Plan annexed, may be seen at the Warden’s Office, Grahamstown.

SCHEDULE.

HENRY HAY and WILLIAM WATERS; 15 years’ lease of 5 acres more or less; bounded by the "Mount Pleasant," "Tweedside," "Rob Roy," "Connolly Leetch’s" ground, and Shortland Township, Karaka Block; known as part of unworked "Ashley" Gold Mining Company’s lease, and part unoccupied ground; application received in Warden’s Office, Grahamstown, at 3 p.m., 19th July, 1870, No. 780.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

IT is hereby notified that the Application for a Mining Lease set forth in the Schedule hereunder has been withdrawn, and that the land therein mentioned, in so far as not occupied under Miners’ Rights, is now open for occupation.

Plan may be seen at the Engineer’s Office, Grahamstown.

SCHEDULE.

CHARLES TOTHILL, for the Wild Missouri Gold Mining Company, Registered; 15 years’ lease of about 15 acres of quartz-mining land; formerly applied for under lease by the "Wild Missouri" Gold Mining Company, together with portions of ground formerly held by the "Californian Route" and "Mississippi" Gold Mining Companies, and by the "Still Water" Claim Shareholders, Tararu; application notified in Gazette No. 28, dated 9th June, 1870, page 220; withdrawn 25th July, 1870.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

IT is hereby notified that the several Mining Leases set forth in the Schedule hereunder, have been cancelled on account of non-execution, and that all rights, privileges, and claims in respect of the applications for the same are deemed to have been forfeited, and that the land therein mentioned, in so far as not occupied under Miners’ Rights, is now open for occupation.

Plans may be seen at the Engineer’s Office, Grahamstown.

Wallace; 15 years’ lease of 7 acres more or less, situated on the Tararu Block; bounded by the "British Lion" Gold Mining Company’s Claim, and the "Tarbert Castle" Gold Mining Company’s Claim; known as the "Tower of London" Claim, and some abandoned ground next the "New London" and "Golden Horn" Claim,
