HAURAKI GOLD FIELD.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

IN pursuance of the 29th Section of “The Gold Fields Act, 1866,” and of the Regulations made thereunder that Act for the granting of Leases for Gold Mining purposes, it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant a Lease for Gold Mining purposes to the Applicant specified in the Schedule hereunder, unless valid objections can be shown against granting such Lease.

Copy of the Application made, and Plan annexed, may be seen at the Warden’s Office, Grahamstown.

SCHEDULE.

George Ryrie Alexander: 15 years’ lease of 15 acres more or less; situate on the Karaka Creek; bounded on the East by the “Moa” Gold Mining Company; on the North by the Karaka Creek; and on the West by the “Grand Junction” Claim; application received in Warden’s Office, Grahamstown, at 3 p.m., 28th June, 1870.

J. T. E. Rogan, for the McIsaacs’ Gold Mining Company, Registered; 15 years’ lease of 5 acres and 37 perches, situate on the Karaka Creek; known as the “McIsaacs’ and Stark’s Reef;” application notified in Gazette No. 17 dated 5th April, 1870, page 133; withdrawn 28th June, 1870.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

It is hereby notified that the Application for a Mining Lease set forth in the Schedule hereunder has been withdrawn, and that the land therein mentioned, in so far as not occupied under Miners’ Rights, is now open for occupation.

Plans may now be seen at the Engineer’s Office, Grahamstown.

HEREBY notify that the Secretary to the Board of Highway Trustees for the Cambridge District has reported to the Superintendent the appointment of Mr. J. C. Reynolds, as Collector to the Board.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Superintendent’s Office,
Auckland, 27th June, 1870.

TENDERS will be received at this Office until noon of Monday, the 25th day of July next, from persons willing to Contract for the Erection of Two Lighthouses in the Hauraki Gulf. Tenders will be required for each work separately, and must be accompanied by a deposit of Five per Cent. on the value of the Tender, which will be returned in the event of the Tender not being accepted, but will be forfeited in the event of the Tender being accepted and the Tenderer refusing to sign the Contract.

Plans, Specifications, and Forms of Tender may be seen, and further particulars obtained, at the Public Works Office, Auckland.

The lowest or any Tender will not necessarily be accepted.

Tenders to be endorsed “Tender for Lighthouse.”
