"The Highways Act, 1867," I do hereby notify that, from and after Tuesday, the fourth day of October next, the boundaries of the KOMOKORIKI, LOWER MAHURANGI, PAPARATA, and MAKETU Highway Districts shall be altered and amended for the purposes of the said Act, as in the Schedule hereunder set forth.

SCHEDULE.

THE KOMOKORIKI HIGHWAY DISTRICT.

Amended Boundaries.

Bounded towards the North by the Southern boundary of the Tauhoa block, and by parts of the Western and Northern boundaries of the Ahuroa Block to the intersection of the latter boundary with the Great North Road: towards the East by the Great North Road aforesaid to the South-eastern boundaries of allotment No. 18, of the Parish of Ahuroa; towards the South-east by the South-eastern boundary of the lot last named, and by a right line thence to the Southern boundary of allotment No. 42 of the Parish of Ahuroa aforesaid; towards the South by the Southern boundary of allotment No. 42 aforesaid, the Southern and part of the Western boundaries of allotment No. 30, and the Southern boundary of allotment No. 33, to the Western boundary of the Ahuroa block; again towards the East by parts of the Western and Southern boundaries of the Ahuroa block aforesaid, and by the Eastern boundary of the Komokoriki block to the Southern boundary of allotment No. 53, of the Parish of Komokoriki; towards the South by the Southern boundary of the lot last named, the Southern boundaries of allotments Nos. 52, 51, and 50, and the Southern and part of the Western boundary of allotment No. 49, all of the Parish of Komokoriki aforesaid, to the Makarau Creek, and by said Creek to the Kaipara Harbour, and towards the West by the Waters of the Kaipara Harbour aforesaid, to the Southern boundary of the Tauhoa block, the place of commencement.

THE LOWER MAHURANGI HIGHWAY DISTRICT.

Amended Boundaries.

Bounded towards the North by the Southern boundary of the Upper Mahurangi District from the intersection of the last-named boundary with the Great North Road to Hepburn’s Creek in the Mahurangi Harbour; towards the East by the Mahurangi Harbour aforesaid from Hepburn’s Creek to the Pukapuka River; towards the South by the Pukapuka River aforesaid and the Southern boundary of the Ahuroa Block; towards the West by the Western boundary of the Ahuroa Block aforesaid, to the Southern boundary of allotment No. 83 of the parish of Ahuroa; and towards the North-west by the Southern boundary of the lot last-named, part of the Western, the whole of the Southern boundary of allotment No. 30, and the Southern boundary of allotment No. 32, all of the Parish of Ahuroa aforesaid, thence by a right line to the South-eastern boundary of allotment No. 18 of said parish, and by said last-described boundary to the Great North Road, and by the Great North Road aforesaid to the Southern boundary of the Upper Mahurangi District, the place of commencement.

THE PAPARATA HIGHWAY DISTRICT.

Amended Boundaries.

Bounded towards the North by the Southern boundary of the Maketu Highway District before described, from the Great South Road to the South-eastern angle of allotment No. 13 of the parish of Otai; towards the West by the Eastern boundary of allotment No. 13 last-named and the Eastern boundary of allotment No. 12 of the parish of Otai aforesaid, to its North-eastern angle; towards the North-east by a straight line running in a South-easterly direction from the North-eastern angle of allotment No. 12 last-named to the Maungatawhiri Creek; towards the South-east by the Maungatawhiri Creek aforesaid to the line which forms the Eastern boundary of allotment No. 1 of the parish of Otai aforesaid, thence by said Eastern boundary and by the centre of the road which forms the South-eastern boundary of said lot No. 1 of the Parish of Otai before-mentioned, to the Northernmost angle of allotment No. 1 of the Parish of Koheroa, thence by the road aforesaid, being the Great North Road aforesaid to the South-eastern boundaries of allotment No. 18, of the Parish of Ahuroa; towards the South by the Southern boundary of the lot last named, the Southern boundaries of allotments Nos. 52, 51, and 50, and the Southern and part of the Western boundary of allotment No. 49, all of the Parish of Komokoriki aforesaid, to the Makarau Creek, and by said Creek to the Kaipara Harbour, and towards the West by the Waters of the Kaipara Harbour aforesaid, to the Southern boundary of the Tauhoa block, the place of commencement.

THE MAKETU HIGHWAY DISTRICT.

Amended Boundaries.

Bounded towards the North-west by the South-eastern and part of the Eastern boundaries of the Hunua Highway District from the Great South Road to the Westernmost angle of allotment No. 4, of the Parish of Otai, thence continuing the South-western boundary of said lot 4, to its Northern angle; towards the North-east by the North-eastern boundary of allotment No. 4 before mentioned, and the North-eastern boundary of allotment No. 8, to the Eastern angle of last named lot, thence in a straight line to the Northern angle of allotment No. 10, of the Parish of Otai aforesaid, thence by North-eastern boundary of said lot No. 10, to its Easternmost angle, thence in a straight line to the Northern angle of allotment No. 11, and continuing the North-eastern boundaries of lots Nos. 11, 12, and 13, all of the Parish of Otai aforesaid, to the South-eastern angle of last named lot; towards the South by the Southern boundary of allotment No. 13 aforesaid to the road which forms its Western boundary and crossing said road and continuing Northerly along its Western side to the South-eastern angle of allotment No. 130 of the Parish of Otai aforesaid, thence by the road aforesaid to its junction with the Great South Road, at the Southern angle of allotment No. 51 of the Parish of Maungatawhiri aforesaid, and towards the South-west by the Great South Road aforesaid to the Southern boundary of the Maketu Highway District beforementioned, the place of commencement.
