PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Auckland, 3rd May, 1870.

I HEREBY notify that the Chairman of the First Meeting of the Electors of the Waikiekie District under "The Highways Act, 1867," has reported, in writing, to me the names of the undermentioned gentlemen, duly elected Highway Trustees for that District:—

  • Mr. Henry Hellyer,
  • Mr. Richard Perkins Lambert,
  • Mr. Charles E. Purdon,
  • Mr. William Ellis,
  • Mr. Samuel King.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.

IN pursuance of the fourth clause of "The Highways Act, 1867," I do hereby bring the said Act into operation within the Waikiekie Highway District, and appoint the First Meeting of Electors to take place at Mr. Hutchinson’s Farm, Waikiekie, on Saturday, the 21st day of May, instant, at twelve o’clock, noon.

Given under my hand, at Auckland, this third day of May, one thousand eight hundred and seventy.

IT is hereby notified, that the appointment of Mr. Samuel Frost, of Enville Grove, Ararimu, as a Ranger under "The Protection of Certain Animals Act, 1866," has been revoked.

Advertisements must be forwarded to the Superintendent’s Office at Auckland, or to the authorized Agent at Shortland or at Coromandel, with pre-payment of the charge for insertion at the rates above specified.

Advertisements should be written on one side of the paper; and names, signatures, &c., must be written in a legible hand, to save mistakes.

The number of insertions required should be written across the face of the advertisement.

The Government will not guarantee the publication of any notice or advertisement within a given date; nor will the same be inserted unless pre-paid.

SUBSCRIPTION.

The subscription is at the rate of £2 per annum, or 10s. 6d. per quarter, payable in advance.

Subscriptions are required to terminate with the quarters ending March, June, September, or December. A less period than three months cannot be subscribed for.
