PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Auckland, 2nd April, 1870.

I HEREBY notify that the Principal Returning Officer has reported, in writing, to me the names of the undermentioned gentlemen duly elected Members of the Mining Board for the District of the Province of Auckland.

William B. Henderson,
Patrick Nodal,
Edward Henry Power, J.P.,
Alexander Hays,
William Sowerby Greenhill,
Alexander McTavish.

And I do hereby appoint the First Meeting of the said Board to take place in the Provincial Government Buildings, Grahamstown, on Monday, the 18th day of April instant, at 10 o’clock in the forenoon.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Superintendent’s Office,
Auckland, 4th April, 1870.

IN pursuance of the 29th Section of “The Gold Fields Act 1866,” and of the Regulations made under that Act for the granting of Leases for Gold Mining purposes, it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant Leases for Gold Mining purposes to the Applicants specified in the annexed Schedule, unless valid objections can be shown against granting such Leases.

Copies of the Applications made, and Plans annexed, may be seen at the Wardens’ Office Shortland.

SCHEDULE.

J. T. E. Roday, for the McIsaacs Gold Mining Company Registered; 15 years’ lease of 5 acres and 37 perches; situate on the Karaka Creek; known as “McIsaac’s and Stark’s Reef,” adjoining the “Victoria” Gold Mining Company’s ground, the “Auckland Independent” Gold Mining Company’s ground, the “Florida” Gold Mining Company’s ground, and the “Dreadnaught” Gold Mining Company’s ground; held under Miners’ Rights, and under the Leasing Regulations; application received in Wardens’ Office, Shortland, at 1.30 p.m., 1st April, 1870.

Walter Sully, for the Shamrock Gold Mining Company Registered; 15 years’ lease of about 7 acres more or less; bounded on the North by the “Ballarat and Never Despair;” on the South by the “Rising Sun” and “Ruby;” on the East by the “Pearl of the Waiotahi;” and on the West by the “Half Moon;” and situate on the Waiotahi Creek; held under Miners’ Rights and Leasing Regulations; application received in Wardens’ Office, Shortland, at 2.15 p.m., 31st March, 1870.

[This application is in lieu of the one made by the same applicant, and published in Gazette No. 15, dated 19th March, 1870, page 112.]
