PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

IT is hereby notified that the Superintendent has accepted the Tender by Messrs. R. M. SIMPSON and ALEX. UNTANK, of £550 per annum, rent, for the right to work the Moanatairi Tramway at the Thames Gold Field, during the three years commencing on the 25th instant, at the present authorized scale of charges, or at a scale not exceeding the same.

Tenders were also received from the undermentioned persons:—Robert N. Smith, Grahamstown; Geo. Richard Woodward, Grahamstown; McClintock and Co., Grahamstown; James Heron, Shortland; Henry Rawdon, Grahamstown (too late); and John Quinliven, Shortland (too late).
