PORT OF SHORTLAND.
PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.
By THOMAS BANNATYNE GILLIES, Esquire,
Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.
Under and in pursuance of the powers and authority vested in me by the provisions of "The Marine Act, 1867," I do hereby impose and levy the following rates, dues, and charges, for the use of the Grahamstown Wharf, and for the landing of goods, wares, and merchandise thereat and thereon, that is to say:—
For each and every person (not being on public duty) who shall pass on to or repass from off the said Wharf ... 0 1
For each and every truck of goods run up or down the said Wharf ... 0 3
And I do also hereby appoint that the said rates, dues, and charges, and none other, shall be levied on and after this date.

It is hereby notified that a Lease has been refused to the Applicant named in the Schedule hereunder, and that the land therein mentioned, in so far as not occupied under Miners’ Rights, is now open for occupation.

The Young New Zealand Gold Mining Company, per James Sutherland; 15 years’ lease of 15 acres; bounded on the North by the "Roman Emperor" claim, on the South by the "New London" claim, on the East by the "Tower of London" claim, and on the West by the beach, Tararu Block; application notified in Gazette No. 64, dated 10th September, 1869, page 1010.
PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

It is hereby notified that the several Mining Leases set forth in the Schedule hereunder, have been cancelled on account of non-execution, and all rights, privileges, and claims in respect of the applications for the same are deemed to have been forfeited, and the land therein mentioned, in so far as not occupied under Miners’ Rights, is now open for occupation.

The Hope of All Nations Gold Mining Company Registered; 15 years’ lease of 2½ acres more or less; situate on the right bank of Moanataiari Creek, bounded by the "Norwegian," "Dublin," "Coburg Castle," and "Enniskillen" Claims; known as the "Hope of All Nations" claim; application notified in Gazette No. 90 dated 13th April, 1869, page 320.
The Pioneer Gold Mining Company Registered; 15 years’ lease of 6 acres; situate in Tinker’s Gully, Tararu; known as the "Pioneer" Gold Mining Company’s claim; application notified in Gazette No. 21 dated 16 April, 1869, page 328.
The Liverpool Boys’ Gold Mining Company Registered; 15 years’ lease of about 5 acres; known as the Liverpool Boys’ claim on the Waiotahi Creek, bounded by the "Shamrock," "Ruby," and "Princess Alice" claims; application notified in Gazette No. 10, dated 10th March, 1869, page 149.
The Golden Fountain Gold Mining Company (Registered); 15 years’ lease of about 3 acres; situate on the Kuranui Spur, adjoining the "Magenta" and "Golden Point" claims known as the "Golden Fountain" claim Nos. 1 and 2; application notified in Gazette No. 24, dated 30th April, 1869, page 355.
PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.
I DO HEREBY nominate and appoint George Maurice O’Rorke, Esq., Speaker of the Provincial Council,
Daniel Gannon, Esq., M.P.C., and
Robert Coates Dyer, Esq., M.P.C.,
to be Commissioners to enquire and report to me as to what person or persons, if any, are entitled to receive the whole or any part of the Reward offered for the discovery of a payable Goldfield within the Province of Auckland, by notification in the Provincial Government Gazette published on the twenty-sixth day of April, 1867.
And I do hereby call upon all persons claiming to be entitled to the aforesaid Reward, to send in to my office, at Auckland, on or before Tuesday, the eighth day of March next, their claims, together with a statement of the evidence and witnesses which they propose to adduce in support thereof.
And I do further hereby appoint that the said Commissioners shall sit at Grahamstown, on the Thames Goldfields, on Tuesday the fifteenth day of March next, to hear the claimants personally and their witnesses.
