I THE undersigned, David George Smale,
hereby make application to register the
Colonial Hope Gold Mining Company
(Registered),” under the provisions of “The Mining
Companies’ Limited Liability Act, 1865,” and
“The Mining Companies’ Limited Liability
Act Amendment Act, 1869,” and I do solemnly
and sincerely declare that the following statement
is, to the best of my belief and knowledge, true in every particular, namely:—

  1. The name and style of the Company
    is the “Colonial Hope Gold Mining Company.”

  2. The place of operations is at Murphy’s
    Hill, Karaka Block, at the Thames Gold
    Field, in the Province of Auckland, in the
    Colony of New Zealand.

  3. The nominal capital of the Company is
    Eight thousand Pounds, in Eight thousand
    shares of One Pound each.

  4. The amount paid up is in cash Nil,
    and in paid up shares, being the estimated
    value of the mine and work already done,
    Six thousand Pounds.

  5. The name of the Manager is David
    George Smale.

  6. The Office of the Company is in
    Abraham-street, Grahamstown.

  7. The names and several residences of the
    shareholders, and the number of shares held
    by each at this date, are as follow, viz:—

declare that the following statement is, to the best of my belief
and knowledge, true in every particular,

    is the “Tubal Cain Gold Mining Company
    (Registered).”

  2. That the place of operations is at Blind
    Man’s Gully, Karaka Block, at the Thames
    Gold Field, in the Province of Auckland, in
    the Colony of New Zealand.

  3. That the nominal capital of the Company
    is Six thousand Pounds, in Six thousand
    shares of One Pound each.

  4. That the amount paid up in cash is
    Twenty-seven Pounds ten Shillings, and in
    paid up shares Three thousand Pounds.

  5. That the name of the Manager is Henry
    Elmes Campbell.

  6. That the Office of the Company is in
    Willoughby-street, Shortland.

  7. That the names and several residences of
    the shareholders, and the number of shares
    held by each at this date, are as follow,
