I THE undersigned, David George Smale,
hereby make application to register the
“Colonial Hope Gold Mining Company
(Registered),” under the provisions of “The Mining
Companies’ Limited Liability Act, 1865,” and
“The Mining Companies’ Limited Liability
Act Amendment Act, 1869,” and I do solemnly
and sincerely declare that the following statement
is, to the best of my belief and knowledge, true in every particular, namely:—

The name and style of the Company
is the “Colonial Hope Gold Mining Company.” -
The place of operations is at Murphy’s
Hill, Karaka Block, at the Thames Gold
Field, in the Province of Auckland, in the
Colony of New Zealand. -
The nominal capital of the Company is
Eight thousand Pounds, in Eight thousand
shares of One Pound each. -
The amount paid up is in cash Nil,
and in paid up shares, being the estimated
value of the mine and work already done,
Six thousand Pounds. -
The name of the Manager is David
George Smale. -
The Office of the Company is in
Abraham-street, Grahamstown. -
The names and several residences of the
shareholders, and the number of shares held
