COROMANDEL GOLD FIELD.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

BY JOHN WILLIAMSON, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.

IN conformity to the 29th Section of “The Gold Fields Act, 1866,” and to the Regulations made under that Act, for the granting of Leases for Gold Mining purposes, it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant a Lease for Gold Mining purposes of Crown lands, to the applicants specified in the annexed Schedule, unless valid objections can be shown against granting such Lease.

Objections to granting such Lease, stating the grounds of objection, must be made in writing, and lodged at the Warden’s Office, at Coromandel, within the time prescribed by the aforesaid Regulations.

Copy of the application made, and plans annexed, may be seen at the Warden’s Office Coromandel.

Given under my hand, at Auckland, this twenty-fifth day of October, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-nine.

IN pursuance of the Regulations for granting Leases for Gold Mining purposes, on Gold Fields in the Province of Auckland, we hereby make application for a Lease, whereof the particulars are as follow, to be granted to EDWARD P. WOOD, AUSTIN DALY, and JOHN HOLDSWORTH, on behalf of themselves and following names:—Robert Bramble, Edward Woods, Michael Colman, John O’Rourk, Joseph Anderson, Walter V. Nooman, Chas. W. Watson, Jos. H. Smallman, Michael Glynn, William McCanly, Patrick Flanagan, Austin Daly.

Estimated Area. Number of Years. Description of Land. If held under Miners’ Rights. Name (if any) of Claim. Special Description of Easements (if any) required.
9 acres, or thereabouts. 15 Fifteen years. Quartz. Situate on Western side of Tokatea range, bounded on North by “City of Glasgow No. 1” claim, and “City of Athens” lease; on South by “Middle Star” and “Royal Sovereign” claims, Coromandel. Yes. “Hidden Treasure,” “Pretty Annie,” “Baron Rothschild.” To be known as the “Golden Crater Gold Mining Company.” Roadway.
