PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.
WHEREAS by a Notification published in the Auckland Provincial Government Gazette, dated 17th September, 1869, it was notified that it was intended to grant a lease for Gold Mining purposes of Crown Land, situate at the Whakatore Block, Thames Gold Field, to William Wood jun., for "The Nothing Venture Noothing Have Gold Mining Company," upon his application, dated the 12th day of August, 1869.
Now, therefore, I do hereby notify that the said applicant, William Wood jun., has withdrawn such application.
Given under my hand, at Auckland, this twenty-fifth day of October, One thousand eight hundred and sixty-nine.

In pursuance of the power in me vested by the third clause of "The Highways Act, 1867," I do hereby bring the said Act into operation within the District of Mangawhai, and appoint the first Meeting of Electors to take place at the residence of John Ryan, Esq., J.P., Mangawhai, on Tuesday, the sixteenth day of November, proximo, at two o’clock in the afternoon.
