Wharf Usage Rates and Charges




PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

I, JOHN WILLIAMSON, Superintendent of the Province of Auckland, by virtue of the powers in me vested by an Act of the General Assembly, intituled, “The Marine Act, 1867,” do hereby impose and levy the following rates, dues, and charges for the use of the wharves, piers, and jetties, situate on the South shore of the Harbour of Auckland, between a line drawn in continuation of the East side of Albert-street, and another line drawn in continuation of the East side of Princes-street, and for the landing of goods, wares, and merchandise, on the said wharves, piers, and jetties, that is to say :-

FOR THE USE OF THE SAID WHARVES, PIERS, AND JETTIES :-

Every registered vessel not exceeding 30 tons, except vessels trading beyond the North and East Capes, in advance, per quarter... 40 0

Every licensed boat, in advance, per quarter 20 0

Every vessel not paying quarterly, for each day such vessel occupies a berth at, or is fastened to, a wharf, pier, or jetty, per ton up to 150 tons 0 0½

Ditto for every ton above 150 0 0¼

Every waggon (not being an express waggon) drawn by one horse 1 0

Ditto for every additional horse 0 6

Every other vehicle drawn by one horse 0 6

Ditto for every additional horse 0 6

Every barrow or truck 0 3

Every vehicle with four wheels, without horses 1 0

Every vehicle with two wheels, without horses 0 6

Every horse not drawing any vehicle 0 6

FOR THE USE OF THE CRANES ON THE SAID WHARVES, PIERS, AND JETTIES :-
