PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.
By JOHN WILLIAMSON, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.
WHEREAS by a notification published in the Auckland Provincial Government Gazette dated 28th September, 1869, it was notified that it was intended to grant a lease for Gold Mining purposes of Crown Land situate on the Hape Creek, Thames Goldfield, to the “GREAT EASTERN GOLD MINING COMPANY,” upon CHARLES FINDLAY’S application, dated the 2nd day of September, 1869.
Now, therefore, I do hereby notify that the said applicant, CHARLES FINDLAY, has withdrawn such application.
Given under my hand at Auckland, this eleventh day of October, One thousand eight hundred and sixty-nine.

I, THE undersigned, HENRY MAHON JERVIS, hereby make application to register the “CRESCENT GOLD MINING COMPANY (REGISTERED),” under the provisions of “The Mining Companies’ Limited Liability Act, 1865,” and I do solemnly and sincerely declare that the following statement is, to the best of my belief and knowledge, true in every particular, namely:—

The name and style of the Company is the “Crescent Gold Mining Company (Registered).”

The place of intended operations is at the Moanataiari Creek, at the Thames Gold Field.

The nominal Capital of the Company is £17,500 (Seventeen thousand Five hundred Pounds), in 3,500 (Three thousand Five hundred) shares of £5 (Five Pounds) each.

The amount already paid up is Fourteen thousand Pounds.

The name of the Manager is Henry Mahon Jervis.

The Office of the Company is at Fort street, Auckland.
