Hunua aforesaid; thence following the Northern boundary of lot 112 aforesaid, and the North-western boundary of lots 174, 173, 133, and 136 of the Parish of Hunua aforesaid; thence by the South-western boundaries of lots Nos. 135, 78, and 22 of said parish, to Hewlin’s line; thence by Hewlin’s line to the North-eastern angle of allotment No. 31, of the Parish of Hunua aforesaid; thence following the North-eastern and South-eastern boundaries of lot 31 aforesaid and the South-eastern boundaries of lots Nos. 29, 28, and 27 of the Parish of Hunua aforesaid, and part of the Eastern and the Southern boundaries of lot 3 of the Parish of Opaheke to the Wairoa and Papakura road; thence by the middle of that road to the Great South Road; towards the West by the Middle of the Great South Road, from the Wairoa and Papakura Road, as far northward as a point on it, being the production of the road between lots 26 and 33, of the Parish of Papakura; and towards the North-west by a straight line from the point last described to the road between lots 26 and 33 aforesaid; and thence by the middle of that road as far eastward as lot 29 of the Parish of Papakura; thence by the South-eastern boundary of lot 29, the Southern and South-eastern boundaries of lot 39, and the South-eastern boundary of lot 58, all of the Parish of Papakura; thence by the dividing line of the Parishes of Papakura and Wairoa aforesaid, and by the North-western boundary of the last named parish to the Umupuea Native Reserve first-mentioned, the point of commencement.
PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance of the authority vested in me in that behalf, I do hereby proclaim and declare that the buildings erected upon the land at SHORTLAND hereunder described shall from the date hereof be deemed and used as a Public Gaol, namely: All that parcel of land situated in Shortland, Thames Goldfields, in the Province of Auckland, being part of section four in the Township of Shortland; bounded on the North by Grey-street; on the East by section thirty-seven of the said Township; on the South by the Custom-house yard; and on the West by the said Custom House yard and the Court House Buildings.
Given under my hand, at Auckland, and issued under the Public Seal of the said Province, this eleventh day of October, in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and sixty-nine.
