Highway District and Mining Company Notices




have been duly constituted one Highway District under the designation of

THE PAMURE HIGHWAY DISTRICT.

Bounded towards the North by high water mark of Waitemata Harbour and the Tamaki River from the North-western angle of allotment No. 40A of the Parish of Waitemata to the Easternmost point of the Government Reserve adjoining allotments Nos. 16 and 8 of the Parish aforesaid; towards the East by high water mark of the Tamaki River and the Panmure Basin to the Otahuhu Creek; towards the South-east by the Otahuhu Creek aforesaid and the Portage Road to the Great South Road; towards the South-west by the Great South Road aforesaid to the Harp of Erin Inn, and to the West by a direct line from the junction of roads at the Harp of Erin Inn aforesaid to the South-western angle of allotment No. 25 of section No. 12 of the Suburbs of Auckland, thence by the Southern and Eastern boundaries of said lot No. 25, to the Road which forms the North-western boundary of allotment No. 12A of same section, thence by the Southern side of said road to the South-western angle of allotment No. 38A of the Parish of Waitemata aforesaid, thence crossing laid road to the last-named angle, thence by the Western boundary of said lot No. 38A to the Orakei Creek, thence crossing said creek in a straight line to the South-western angle of allotment No. 39A of said Parish of Waitemata, thence by the Western boundary of said lot No. 39A by the crossing of a road 100 links wide, and by the Western boundary of allotment No. 40A first described, to the Waitemata Harbour, the point of commencement.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

In pursuance of the power in me vested by the fourth clause of “The Highways Act, 1867,” I do hereby bring the said Act into operation within the Pamure Highway District, and appoint the first meeting of the Electors to take place at the Public Hall, Panmure, on Tuesday next, the fifth day of October instant, at twelve o’clock noon.

Given under my hand at Auckland this first day of October, One thousand eight hundred and sixty-nine.

THE undersigned, Matthew H. Frost, hereby make application to register THE CLYDESDALE GOLD MINING COMPANY (REGISTERED), under the provisions of “The Mining Companies’ Limited Liability Act, 1865,” and I do solemnly and sincerely declare that the following statement is, to the best of my belief and knowledge, true in every particular, namely:—

  1. The name and title of the Company is The Clydesdale Gold Mining Company (Registered).

  2. The place of operations is at the Whakakari Creek, at the Thames Goldfield, in the Province of Auckland, in the Colony of New Zealand.

  3. The nominal capital of the Company is Twenty-four thousand Pounds, in Nine thousand six hundred Shares of Two Pounds Ten Shillings each.

  4. The amount already paid up is Twenty-one thousand six hundred Pounds.

  5. The name of the Manager is Matthew H. Frost.

  6. The Office of the Company is at the Royal Exchange, Pollen-street, Shortland.

  7. The names and several residences of the shareholders, and the number of shares held by each at this date, are as follow, namely:—
