proclaim and declare the covenants, clauses, provisos, conditions, and agreements applicable to such leases and licenses respectively, and he may in like manner from time to time rescind, alter, or vary the same. AND, WHEREAS, in accordance with the provisions of the one hundred and ninth section of the said Act, the power thus vested in the Governor by the aforesaid recited sections of the said Act have been delegated to me, JOHN WILLIAMSON, as Superintendent of the Province of Auckland aforesaid. AND, WHEREAS, in pursuance of other powers delegated to me under the said Act, I, JOHN WILLIAMSON, as Superintendent of the Province of Auckland aforesaid, by a proclamation dated the sixteenth day of May, 1868, and published in the Provincial Government Gazette of the said Province bearing date the eighteenth day of May, 1868, I did constitute and appoint to be a Gold Field under the provisions of the said recited Act, all that block of land in the District of Coromandel, within the Province aforesaid, commencing on the North at Cape Colville; thence by the East Coast to Te Harakeke; thence by the watershed range between Kennedy Bay and Whangapoua, to Te Tapuae Range; thence by the watershed range between the East Coast and Hauraki Gulf to the source of the river Waiau; thence by the watershed range between the Waiau and Manaia rivers to Maungakawa; thence by a public road to Te Poka, on the shore of Coromandel harbour; thence by the sea coast to the point of commencement. AND WHEREAS, by a proclamation dated the twenty-fifth day of May, 1868, and published in the said Gazette, bearing date the fifth day of June 1868, I did order certain Regulations for the said Coromandel Gold Field; and it is expedient to revoke the same so far only as they relate to leases, and to make other Regulations for the granting of leases for gold-mining purposes, and for sites for machinery.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOHN WILLIAMSON, Superintendent of the Province of Auckland aforesaid, in exercise of the powers and authority delegated to me under the provisions of the said recited Act, do hereby order that the Regulations, for the granting of leases, made for the Hauraki Gold Field, and published in the Provincial Government Gazette aforesaid, bearing date the twenty-ninth day of October 1868, shall be the Regulations, for the granting of leases, in force within the said Coromandel Gold Field, from the twenty-third day of September, instant.
Given under my hand at Auckland, and issued under the public seal of the said Province, this twenty-seventh day of September, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty-nine.

MR. JOSEPH COCHRANE, Clerk of the Warden’s Court, has been appointed to attend at the Court-house, Coromandel, for the purpose of issuing Miners’ Rights, and of receiving applications for Mining Leases, until the appointment of a Warden for the District.
